Here's how continuing education shows up at PAE

First two years: Dedicated annual time for learning and development, offering training, support, and personal and professional growth.
Build University: Over 150 online courses available to employees focused on technical skills, soft skills and business acumen.
CORE Courses Levels 1 and 2: Over 80 courses for newer engineers to help integrate them into the industry and PAE.
Advanced CORE Courses: Technically focused formal training for higher level engineers.
PAElevate: Detailed career planning pathways to identify skills and provide clear resources to improve.
Leadership and management training for situational leadership, coaching, difficult conversations, and more.
Thought Leadership explorations on timely topics like Passive House, embodied carbon in lighting design, regenerative design, and net zero plumbing.

A deeper look

BIO Training

Our BIO (Building Industry Orientation) Training is for those that are early in their careers or have switched careers to help introduce them to the AEC industry. Presentations cover introductory topics like About the AEC Industry, communication skills, project financials, and how to be a good consultant, all the way to larger topics like our approach to sustainability and design justice.

The annual two-day virtual event started internally and has grown to include clients and industry members from all our office regions. Participants leave inspired to get to work, with a thorough understanding of the industry and their role in it.

Build University

At any level, self-directed learning is the key to unlocking your potential, advancing your career, and staying passionate and involved.

Our new learning management system, Build University, is chock full of a stunning array of courses to dive into any topic, from emotional intelligence to tips for management to technical topics for CEUs.
