The renovation of four floors for the new Health Sciences Instruction & Research building for UCSF pursued 20% more energy and 20% more potable water efficiency than code requirements. The project team met an accelerated schedule, lowered first costs and improved energy performance, while designing a quality laboratory environment for Nobel-Laureate level researchers.
