The Integrated Operations Center (IOC) opened in 2022 to manage the grid of the future and provide operational resiliency in the event of a major disaster. The IOC houses the staff and support systems responsible for operating and overseeing PGE’s generation, transmission, and distribution functions including office, training, control center, and data center for the largest utility in the state of Oregon.
Special Features

- Resilient design with redundant water and electric services allows the building to continue operating for two weeks on its own.
- Battery energy storage and microgrid controls add additional levels of resiliency.
