The metamorphosis of the Stott Viking Pavilion was accomplished through award-winning, sophisticated lighting design and high-performance mechanical engineering to improve aesthetics, functionality, and efficiency. The project addressed all deferred maintenance and modernized spaces throughout the building along with the design of the new arena.

  • Building improvements included the renovation of the first floor locker and training rooms, mechanical systems upgrades, sprinkler systems upgrades, ADA upgrades, seismic upgrades, and consolidation of space to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • A balance of daylighting and sophisticated electrical lighting control systems helped express the transparency, accessibility, and energy of student academics, fitness, and athletics all in one space.
  • A 200-foot long statement wall out of wood was designed to mimic a Viking ship, in honor of the University’s mascot.
